Bio

I was born on February 20, 1949, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and immigrated with my family to the United States of America in 1967. After having moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1969, I graduated from Western Michigan University (1971) with a teaching certificate. In 1973 I married my dear wife Joan Sweetman. The Lord graciously blessed our family with two children: David (1974), and Sarah (1986). Our family expanded in 2004 when David married our wonderful daughter-in-law Michelle, in 2006 when our precious granddaughter Julia was born to David and Michelle, and in 2011 when our daughter Sarah married our beloved son-in-law, Rev. Brian G. Najapfour.  After having served as the founding principal of the Netherlands Reformed Christian School in New Jersey from 1975-1984, and as an evangelist in Denver, Colorado from 1984-1989, I translated “The Christian's Reasonable Service” during the period of 1989-1995. From 1995 till 1998, I was enrolled at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was ordained as the pastor of the Heritage Reformed Congregation of Jordan, Ontario in 1998. Since 2005 I may serve the Heritage Reformed Congregation of Chilliwack, British Columbia.
